Very satisfied - die grinding
I am very happy with these so far. I use them in my Milwaukee 12V rotary tool at 35,000 RPM. My first try using them was on a hardened steel shaft that the end was peened out on from driving it into place with a hammer. It made simple work of grinding a taper around the top of the shaft. Thanks to the different shapes I was also able to repair the shaft’s keyway. They are definitely solid carbide, there was no discoloration or dulling of the tool after use.
Inexpensive Burr Set That Cuts Steel Very Well
PROS: Nicely finished tools. Storage case is compact and functional. Very sharp edges. Seem to hold up very well with steel.CONS: None to this point. This set of burrs is a very pleasant surprise. I recently purchased a Hitachi GP10DL Rotary Tool to use for light finish work on metal projects, and I needed a small burr set. After reading various reviews, I decided to take a chance on these. I have now used them a couple of times, and these burrs have worked EXTREMELY well - much better than I imagined they would. I am very pleasantly surprised and would recommend this set.
Great value, will reorder.
Just got these in and I'm very pleased with the quality. Couldn't figure out the difference between these and the ones that cost cheaper for a set so I ordered one more expensive one also but I haven't compared them yet.
I can't believe these are so inexpensive. The build quality is great.
Very econonical kit. I was worried, given the price, but really happy with the overall performence. I ended up using one of the heads to notch out a 2x4 during a home audio/video installation,.
Nice product.
Seem to be working fine. I use them in small rotary tools (Dremel type). Bought them for carving wood mainly, been using them for all kinds of projects. No idea on product longevity, they seem strong and well built.
NiceVery sturdy and sharp. I use these a lot for prototyping materials from plastic to stainless steel and they work great. I bought several sets so I'd have spares, but these are so good I may not need spares. Shipping was quick and the case is okay if you only have this one set.
Low-budget price, high-budget performance
At the price point I was honestly not expecting much, but I needed a tool to clean up an aluminum intake manifold quickly; aluminum being a soft metal, these fit the bill.Since then I've used them for detail work on mild steel as well and they still show no signs of wear. They cut through softer materials like butter and even with harder stuff they work fairly well. I'm genuinely very, very impressed with these bits.
These are some of the best bits that I have used yet
These are some of the best bits that I have used yet. Extremely sharp, the last well and they cut really really good. Definitely a good buy for the price
High quality engraving kit
This is a very nice set of drill bits. They will maintain their sharpness much longer than steel. When my husband saw them (he's a tool guy), he was really impressed, and commented on the high quality. I have two Dremel tools, and these bits will fit both of them. I am very happy with this set.I received these bits at a discount or for free for my unbiased, honest evaluation and review. All of my reviews are completely honest as I rely heavily on customer product reviews for my own purchases.
Good, Sharp, Durable, larger than expected
Much more durable that their steel equivalents, although a collection of ten results in half a dozen never seeing use. These are sharp, and stay sharp in situations where even the hardest steel would quickly become dull. They are not good for resinous woods, but do well in soft metals and hard woods, .I have used them in refining the edges of keys and other brass objects, some hard plastics, and even on a pocket knife blade that needed very minor modification. I would have switched to a diamond grit tip if I had had to do much more. I expect to use them on iron wood knife handles. Finally, these are a little larger than I expected, but on close examination of the illustration, I can see that the error was mine, but you might want to look carefully to be sure these are what you need.
